SMART head joining solutions are already delivering proven benefits to a number of world renowned manufacturing companies by virtue of their closed loop accuracy, repeatability and ease of integration into factory data collection systems. 2015 will see further expansion of the range and capabilities.

The new servo welding heads integrate directly with the SMART power supply range introduced 18 months ago to deliver fully programmable process controlled micro welding solutions across a broad spectrum of product assembly demands.

Also at the show will be a new percussive arc welding head and power supply – a process controlled solution for joining micro components end to end. Typical applications include wire to can and wire to pin joining without solder.

Applications for these micro welding technologies include aerospace, automotive, medical, battery and lighting sectors manufacturing volume precision components such as sensors, micro-electronic assemblies, solar cells and LED arrays.
