Workplace mental health: One-day course
Changes to employee assistance and workplace mental health in Ireland and the UK will be explained in a one-day training course – Designing Employee Support Services (ESPs) for Workplace Mental Health. The event, organised by EAP Institute, will take place on Thursday 21st March 2019 in Galway Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit.
The course will detail an employer’s legal obligations to comply with The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (SHWW Act) and the Employment Equality Acts 1998–2015 (EEA); how to conduct a behavioural risk assessment for all risks, including mental health and disabilities and to provide reasonable accommodation for employees with disabilities; and a manager’s role in relation to Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing.
The presenters are Maurice Quinlan, director, EAP Institute and Finola Colgan, area development O fficer, Mental Health Ireland.
The EAP Institute will present a certi ficate of attendance for the full seminar, and IOSH members will be able to allocate CPD points to the course.
