Presence detector offers control for demanding applications

15 June 2020

Part of CP's EBDHS range of PIR presence detectors, the new EBDHS-B-CB-DD (Direct Dim) has been developed for high bay lighting control in industrial areas and warehouses.

Using Casambi wireless technology, the EBDHS-B-CB-DD is responsive to an organisation's changing lighting needs; it is programmable and adjustable to produce a highly accurate detection beam.

The Casambi technology provides a mesh network where all the intelligence of the system is replicated in every node and, in such a way, creates a system with no single point of failure. In this kind of fully distributed architecture, any unit can go offline and catch up from others when they return back online. This allows for grouping luminaires, different lighting situations for different occasions, colour temperature, daylight sensor, occupancy sensor and much more. Casambi provides the user with control of a large number of fixtures from any point and the grouping of luminaires to provide different lighting situations for different occasions.

The EBDHS-B-CB-DD offers an advanced detection range up to 40m at a 15m mounting height, with a maximum mounting height of up to 20m dependent on operating parameters. Its multi-pyro design offers greater sensitivity without false triggering, whilst the unique lens technology delivers high sensitivity within the detection range. Ideal for high bay installations in industrial and warehouse applications, this IP40 rated PIR detector provides daylight and occupancy sensing plus many other features and comes with adjustable masking shields to tailor detection zones.
