New and improved online courses

04 February 2019

RRC’s tutors and course development team have been working on a major upgrade of the company's NEBOSH, IOSH & IEMA online courses to improve the learning experience. Initial analysis suggests they now provide better completion and success rates.

The advantages of online learning are well understood - flexibility and accessibility, study when you want and where you want. On the flip side, there is the issue of 'self motivation/ discipline', which is essential for successful study at a distance.

These courses have been built using RRC’s 90 years experience in teaching at a distance and with the help of experienced online learning experts to provide a learning platform and courses that provide an effective learning experience.

The courses comprise a series of video lessons, delivered by RRC’s tutor team with further reading provided in e-book format, along with a full PDF copy of the course study texts which can be downloaded to multiple devices for offline study. Further resources include law guides, and a comprehensive glossary of health, safety & environmental management terminology.  Assessment is built into the course to reinforce the learning, and there is unlimited tutor support from RRC’s expert team of tutors through e-mail and course forums.

A short video on RRC's website outlines the features and benefits of its online learning platform.

Gary Fallaize, RRC managing director, comments: “I am really pleased with what we have achieved here, student feedback is very good, the tutors really like the courses and we are seeing all round improved performance, student motivation, and those all important exam results.”
