Registration opens for leading event series

April 2019 will see four formidable events being hosted at The Birmingham NEC which promise to tackle some of the most pressing challenges currently facing UK businesses head on.

Registration is now open for The Fire Safety Event, The Facilities Event, The Health and Safety Event and The Security Event which take place from the 9 – 11 April 2019 offering visitors an exceptional content programme with CPD hours available, networking opportunities and a comprehensive exhibition all completely free. 

The Facilities Event

The Facilities Event, the leading exhibition dedicated to the UK’s facilities and workplace industry, has announced it will be tackling FMs biggest challenges, when the event returns to the NEC, Birmingham on the 9-11 April 2019. 

In response to imminent technological, political and cultural changes facing British business in 2019, The Facilities Event has said it aims to tackle some of the most pressing technical issues head-on and create a forum where FMs can find answers to their workplace challenges. 

The brands exhibiting at this year’s event will be leading experts in their field, ready and on hand to provide 1-2-1 bespoke advice to attendees. FMs visiting the show will be able to touch and experience new technology and source the very latest equipment and services for their workplace. 

The 2019 show will pivot around The Facilities Hub, a central theatre hosting free CPD accredited training and education designed for FM professionals which will address what the organisers are calling the ‘Five pillars of FM’. Content will be delivered across five streams covering cleaning services, security, catering, property management and support & technology services. 

Sessions are designed to give attendees access to three days of educational content and practical information in these areas. The Facilities Hub programme will feature 18 sessions delivered by 30 of the most knowledgeable professionals in the UK’s FM industry today. 

New for 2019, The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) UK chapter has embarked on a partnership with The Facilities Event and in addition to exhibiting will also be running networking events during the show.

The Health and Safety Event 

The Health and Safety Event 2019, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 9 to 11 April, provides the best networking and educational opportunity to anyone responsible for running a safe and efficient workplace.  Now in its sixth year, the range of seminars, features and exhibitors across the three days is wider than ever. Four separate, high-quality education and information theatres, more than a hundred well-known exhibitors and three co-located events (The Facilities Event, The Fire Safety Event and The Security Event) make the NEC the place to be for committed health and safety practitioners.

All the leading industry and professional bodies, such as the British Safety Council, HSE, IOSH, NEBOSH and the BSIF, will also be present to advise on how to have a rewarding and successful career in health and safety.

The Fire Safety Event

The Fire Safety Event is an independent event dedicated to supporting the UK’s fire and safety industry.  Featuring a powerful combination of education, networking and business support opportunities, the event has been designed to help organisations maintain the very highest standards of fire safety management.

Alongside the exhibition itself, The Fire Safety event offers 60 hours of free-to-attend CPD certified content. Curated and delivered in partnership with Fire & Security Matters magazine, the seminar programme will cover and challenge critical topics in fire safety management today. In the wake of the Grenfell Tower Fire disaster, Dame Judith Hackitt will explore her independent review of Building Regulation and Fire Safety as well as provide an overview of key recommendations direct from the Government, following this review. Alongside Desmond Burke of Firetronics, former Fire Commissioner of the New York Fire Department, Sal Cassano will discuss the enhanced fire protection, stringent fire safety training and building inspections which were implemented following the 9/11 disaster.
