Aluminium airline provides flexibility for Essex Turbo

Essex Turbo has installed Teseo's modular aluminium airlines system to distribute compressed air throughout its new premises and incorporated Teseo equipment into its own turbo testing flow rig design which has resulted in an increase in business.

Mick Ireland, MD, says “We moved to new, modern premises in 2008 allowing us to incorporate the latest technology and needed a precision solution for our compressed air delivery. Previously we had used plastic tube systems which were prone to fracturing and we didn't feel it gave us the flexibility to extend and alter the system.

“We spoke to Teseo UK's parent company, Chelmer Pneumatics, who supplied our compressor and they prescribed the Teseo aluminium pipework (AP) and hollow bar system (HBS). Teseo fitted the pipeline in two days using some 80m in the process. Essex Turbo fitted drops to suit the layout.

“The Teseo system allows us to connect drops without losing pressure in the system and it's a very easy process,” says Ireland. “We have 20 or so drops running to a variety of machines. Since we've been on Teseo there have been no problems. It's a really reliable system.”
