Airflow indicator

HSE guidance (HSG 258, published to 'improve the coverage and effectiveness of LEV', recommends (paragraph 229) airflow indicators are fitted at all extraction points. Indicators safeguard operators from serious health risks they may unwittingly run when using extraction that is no longer performing within the design parameters. Nederman Aftersales will install airflow indicators onto any system - and not just onto Nederman equipment. Gary Keene, projects director, says: "The push button lights green or red. Red means there is insufficient airflow and further action should be taken." The compact wall-mounted units can be mounted virtually anywhere and no electrical power is needed.
