Preparations are in full swing for MACH 2012 (16 to 20 April, NEC), the biennial, week long showcase for the UK's manufacturing industry.

The event, organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association, encompasses metalcutting and metalforming machine tools along with ancillary and related products and services.

Specialist dedicated zones will be allocated for the following sectors: CAD/CAM, tooling, engineering & lasers, robotics & automation, welding & metal fabrication, metalforming, composites & additive manufacture, contract manufacturing, education and training. 'New at MACH' will return in 2012 to highlight those items that exhibitors have on display that are new to the show.

In 2010, MACH attracted 450 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors.
