LED Eco Lights has supplied
products from its Goodlight retrofit
lighting range for installation at two
sites operated by Hopwells, one of
the UK's largest independent frozen
food distributors. These are giving
annual energy savings in excess of
70,000kWh.
A survey of lighting systems at Hopwells' sites in Burscough, Brownhills and Nottingham identified the need to reduce energy costs. Retrofit LED lighting was considered a solution.
Conventional fluorescent tubes and SON sodium lamps were replaced with lower wattage, LED alternatives from the company's Goodlight range.
A total of 220 Goodlight retrofit lamps were supplied and fitted, including T8 5ft LED tube lights and E40 LED SON lamps. This has resulted in 75% annual savings in both kWh and CO2 emissions which is said to equate to a reduction of 36t from the 220 lamps.
