Maintec 2015: Expanding towards the future

09 May 2014

With the doors to this year’s record breaking show barely closed, planning for a bigger and more advanced Maintec has already started. Maintec 2015 has announced that its visitors will be able to enjoy three other highly complementary events, further underlining its position as a leading UK event for the maintenance, plant and asset management industry.

Maintec 2015 which takes place from 24th to 26th March, 2015 at the NEC, Birmingham unveils a new co-location for 2015 – a new cleaning event called Cleaning Expo, which will include Healthcare and Hygiene Expo and Street Cleaning Expo. This event will afford plenty of opportunities for key industry decision makers from across the UK to meet, buy and network.

The second co-location is Facilities Management, seen as a neat fit as many Maintec visitors also have a wider facilities management remit. The Health & Safety Event, which is run by a leader in the health and safety sector – Western Business Exhibitions – will also return for a second year rounding off the clever co-locations. These compatible events highlight the commitment Maintec has to both its visitors and exhibitors.

Visitors will have plenty of learning opportunities at Maintec 2015, including a return of the Business Strategy Forum, which will include sessions from expert speakers and major industry names. There will also be a return for The Exchange, a selection of free content-rich practical talks full of the latest research, new innovations and case studies exploring the hottest topics, challenges and trends. The conference line-up will be announced at the end of this year and will be based on extensive research and visitor recommendations.

Show favourite, Lions’ Lair will once again be returning to Maintec allowing attendees to witness the newest maintenance and engineering technologies, innovations and concepts being pitched to a panel of experts, in front of a live audience, in an attempt to be voted best of show.

Steve Munn, project director of Midland Corrosion Services, a Lion’s Lair competitor and 2014 exhibitor, says:  "easyFairs has been so supportive and helpful with everything to do with the event. We have made some excellent contacts and taking part in the Lions’ Lair was a highlight.”

Added to this, a some 65% of exhibitors rebooked stands onsite for Maintec 2015.

Paul Geoghegan, director of Xetec, explains the rebooking: "We were very happy and pleased with the volume and quality of leads generated at this year’s Maintec show – we have rebooked already for next year.”

Ashley Thomas, marketing manager of Probe Technical Recruitment, agrees: "We have been exhibiting at Maintec for years and have always been impressed by the contacts we make and the business we receive. We are pleased to report that Maintec 2014 has been even better, and we look forward to returning next year!”

Maintec 2015 already boasts a major array of exhibitors including Hormann UK, Pruftechnik, Thermaflue, Keytracker and AV Technology.

Katie Morhen, event manager, concludes: "It is going to be a really exciting run-up to Maintec 2015 and we feel that the show is gathering pace really nicely. The event is going to be bigger than ever, offering more to both our exhibitors and visitors. With four complementary shows under one roof there really has never been a better moment to exhibit at the show.”
