Listening to customers - innovative fridge dryer

15 December 2015

The high performance Omega OMD dryer range is available in the UK, from the controls equipment distributor proficient in energy efficiency - Pneumatic Solutions InternationaI (PSI).

By listening to the needs of their customers, the Omega OMD dryer range is built to a high specification, with detailed consideration given to economy, sophisticated functionality and ecology.

Easy to maintain

Ease of inspection and maintenance has been thoroughly thought through. The easily removed panels offer immediate access to the operating components of the unit. A quick “bayonet” valve system and innovative coil clamp means the solenoid drain valve can be easily cleaned without needing service tools.

Performance

The Omega OMD fridge dryer range offers excellent performance even in high ambient and high inlet temperatures of 45°C and 55°C respectively; the highly efficient and ultra-compact heat exchanger ensuring a reduced compressed air pressure drop.

Economy

OMD dryers are sized to match standard compressor outputs making it unnecessary to select a larger model. E.g. a 15 kW (20 HP) air compressor with theoretical output of 130 m³ /h at 7 bar matches the OMD 135 rated at 136 m³ /h.

Ecology

All materials used in the construction of OMD dryers have a high recycling factor and only environmentally friendly refrigerants are used. Components conform to 2002195/CE “RoHS” (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and 2002196/CE “WEEE” (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) European Directives.

Functionality

Listening to customers, creating technical solutions to original designs supported by extensive laboratory testing has resulted in many practical innovations.
