Data acquisition amplifier handles harsh conditions
19 June 2019
HBM has expanded its range of data acquisition modules. The SomatXR MX1609TB-R amplifier is part of the SomatXR family, and provides a reliable and flexible solution for measuring temperature, particularly in harsh operating conditions.

With 16 channels and sample rate of to 100kS/s per channel, the MX1609TB-R is shock resistant with an IP54/IP67 degree of protection, which makes it suitable for use in measurement tasks within a wide range of applications, such as mobile measurement and tests with off-highway vehicles, stationary measurements, tests on infrastructures and field tests in harsh environments.
The MX1609TB-R, which features a compact design, supports type T thermocouples and offers especially good linearity in the range -50 to +200°C. For added ease of use, the MX1609TB-R also offers reduced wiring effort, due to the use of distributed modules.
Like other modules available from the SomatXR range, the MX1609TB-R offers flexible, modular and expandable properties and can be used in combination with other data acquisition systems such as QuantumX.
The powerful SomatXR data acquisition system from HBM provides a web interface for simple operation without any software installation, which allows for convenient channel parameterisation, monitoring of measurement jobs and visualisation of measured data far away from the measurement point.
