Torque transducers
29 November 2013
HBM has developed a range of torque transducers capable of providing highly accurate information to reduce maintenance and lengthen service life for the latest gearless systems in offshore wind power plants.

Extremely high torques – often of the magnitude of several MN·m – occur throughout the drive train because the generator turns at a slower speed with the same power to convert wind energy into electrical energy.
HBM’s range of torque products extends from series production products to customized transducers to meet the demands of a wide variety of applications including determining a generator’s efficiency according to IEC 60034.
