Driving forward with new appointment
13 March 2019
South West dealership Bristol Forklifts has welcomed Paul Schock as its new sales director.
With almost 30 years’ experience in the materials handling industry, Schock has worked for both leading manufacturers and independent organisations at regional, national and European sales management levels.
“This is a great opportunity to join an established, well-respected business within the industry, and to spearhead the exciting future growth of the company over the coming years,” said Paul.
Schock's role will include working with customers to strengthen existing local business relationships whilst also focussing on new ventures in the region. His experience in the industry will support Bristol Forklifts in its ambition to become the South West number one premier materials handling solutions provider and service partner.
As sales director, he will be collaborating with customers and aims to take a personal, honest and informative approach when making recommendations for equipment and solutions.
“I’m looking forward to engaging with customers both current and new,” he says. “Materials handling is a fascinating industry; it’s very interesting to view different manufacturing processes and to see out how various factories operate.”
Schock's appointment is part of the company’s exciting development plans, which include a focus on green technology. With many customers increasingly looking to reduce their carbon footprint, Bristol Forklifts is well-positioned to provide solutions such as the recently launched Mitsubishi three and four-wheel EDiA electric trucks.
Bristol Forklifts was acquired by Red Diamond Distribution (RDD) — the UK national distributor for Mitsubishi forklifts — in 2018.
“Paul has excellent industry experience and will be an asset to the team,” said Mike Jones, managing director of RDD. “He will play a big part in extending Bristol Forklifts’ reach across the South West region.”
