To help identify which gloves in
the Marigold Industrial range
provide good grip in specific
environments the company, part of
Comasec International Group, has
created a set of Grip Icons.
The four icons that make up the Glove Grip Performance Guide, which is available free, are: Oily Conditions, Dry Conditions,Wet Conditions, Food Oil Environments.
Where a product from their range has particularly good glove grip performance in one of those environments, based on the results of a series of in-situ tests that have been specially developed in their R&D facility in Malaysia, the most relevant Grip Icon will sit next to it in promotional materials such as the website and future product catalogues.
Donald Gillespie of Comasec International Group, says: "This test system we have created is based on creating a Coefficient of Friction Value for a glove material in a number of simulated environments - dry, oil, wet etc, the results highlighting how each glove's grip performs in a range of environments, with the Grip Icons a simple way to highlight good grip performance."
