Midlands-based material handling
equipment manufacturer, George
Utz, has invested in additional storage
facilities at its Alfreton site, with the
construction of four new silos
holding a total of 800t of bulk raw
material (plastic polymers). The
company's range includes containers
and inserts, pallets, dollies and pallet
boxes.
Produced by Braby, the 4.5m diameter silos stand 20m tall and are manufactured from a high grade aluminium alloy. They will increase George Utz's storage capacity by 130%, eliminating the risk of inventory shortage and enabling raw materials to be sourced when market prices are attractive for projects. These savings can then be passed on to Utz's customers and give the project partner budget security.
