On the strength of successful year end figures and a healthy and consistently growing order book, George Utz is investing £750,000 at its Midlands-base in a new injection moulding machine, a handing system and a cooling system unit. It is reported that the investment will enable the manufacturer of plastic containers, pallets and dollies to achieve substantial growth in turnover and workforce, in line with projected targets, into 2013 and beyond.

The injection moulding machine, from KraussMaffei in Germany has a 1000t clamping force and will be used to produce dollies, pallets and containers in Polypropylene and HDPE up to a footprint of 1000 x 800mm.
