Safety is a fundamental part of the electricity industry, and with the Keeping Electrical Switchgear Safe (KESS) Conferences from EA Technology, users can cover a range of safety elements regarding switchgear in one day.

The Keeping Electrical Switchgear Safe (KESS) Conferences are based on the HSE publication HSG230 and feature six leading industry specialists.

Topics range from the selection, day-to-day management and maintenance of switchgear, to legislative responsibilities.

The KESS conferences have trained over 1,300 delegates over the last five years, and have now been revised and updated to PAS 55, BS6626 updates and SF6 regulations.

EA technology director, Tony Hill explains: “The KESS conference aim to share best practice from across the industry including owners and operators of industrial or commercial electrical switchgear, DNOs, equipment suppliers and manufacturers.”

The 2011 KESS conferences will be held at:

Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol on 27th January
Twickenham, London on 22nd March
Stadium of Light, Sunderland on 24th March
EA Technology, Chester, on 16th June
