npower has joined forces with
Flexitricity to bring the benefits of the
company's 'smart grid' system to
customers through the launch of the
new SmartSTOR service. This will
turn energy assets such as standby
generators and electricity consuming
equipment into direct revenue
generators.
The service is for major energy users and npower believes it has the potential to provide companies with additional revenue - more than £100,000 per year for a medium-sized industrial site - simply by unlocking hidden flexibility in existing generation and consumption assets.
All assets connected to Flexitricity's smart grid are monitored remotely and customers are told of any concerns.
