powerPerfector units are delivering marked improvements in power quality and dramatic reductions in electricity consumption at public healthcare organisations via the installation of its Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO) technology, says the company. A recent tender win will result in Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, being supplied with a large powerPerfector Plus unit (1500kVA) to reduce electricity consumption by 9%.

The unit responds intelligently to the incoming supply voltage to bring it to its optimum. It is anticipated to save: Over 300,000 kWhs of electricity and £45,000 per year; and reduce the following associated upstream emissions per annum (approx): 180t of CO2, 380kg of NOx and 11kg of PM10.
