of energy efficiency products
that include GEM venturi orifice
steam traps and flue gas condensing
heat recovery economisers.
Instead of a valve mechanism to close off steam, the GEM steam traps use the venturi orifice design to effectively drain condensate from the steam system and maximise energy and water conservation. As the steam traps have no moving parts to wedge open or fail they provide a permanent solution to steam trapping and condensate return problems.
Available in a range of sizes, and with optional filter where applicable, the GEM steam traps are said to provide companies with fast payback in increased equipment reliability, water and energy savings of up to 30%.
TEI says its flue gas condensing heat recovery economisers can reduce the energy consumption of an industrial boiler by up to 18% by capturing the waste heat in the flue stream and converting it to hot water. Stand C8
