Yorkon, has launched a new building system with thousands of configurations that, it says, will help realise the full potential of off-site construction as an efficient alternative to site-based building methods without compromising on design, aesthetics or layout.

The system incorporates: Columns that are not visible either internally or externally The facility to fit any building footprint, including those designed for site-based construction Module lengths from 6 to 18.75m Module widths of 3 and 3.75m; three height options for singlestorey buildings, and seven different heights for ground and intermediate floors on multistorey schemes Connections between modules carried out from inside the building The option of angled corners A system built to engineering rather than construction tolerances.

Yorkon says the benefits of off-site construction include: programme times reduced by up to 50%; 99.9% recycling of waste material in the factory and 92% recycling on site; less disruption; improved thermal efficiency for lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions; and greater assurance of delivery on time and on budget.
