Following a successful trial, the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) has installed Goodlight retrofit LED lighting within its 120,000ft2 warehouse in Leicestershire.

ESPO's assistant director (operations), Phil Jones, asked LED Eco Lights to undertake a lighting survey. This resulted in the recommendation to replace existing 400W metal halide lamps with Goodlight 100W LED high bay lamps.

Jones consulted customers of LED Eco Lights, including Rolls Royce and the Environment Agency, before agreeing to an on-site trial. He says: "The difference was outstanding.

The lamps produce a crisp daylight colour which provides a much improved working environment.

Also, we now consume 77% less electricity during a 17h working day." Following the trial, LED Eco Lights supplied a Goodlight retrofit system with lamps suspended at 12m, providing consistent illumination throughout the warehouse. Ongoing maintenance costs are reported to have been eliminated.
