The 30 Safety Net Fans were instlled using multi clamps and 90° elbows to secure them to the concrete parapets. Due to limited space, only a few Safety Net Fans at a time could be mounted on the ground and lifted in to place by crane.
Available in two standard lengths - 4.2 and 6m - the Safety Net Fan has an energy absorption of up to 4.4kJ. Tested to EN 1263 (the European standard for safety netting), the device can arrest falls of up to 100kg from a height of up to 6m.
