Vynagrip matting has been installed for the safety of workers at Alan Bartlett and Sons, a family-owned farm in Chatteris that specialises in large scale supply of carrots and parsnips.

The matting, made in the UK by Plastic Extruders, has been laid along production lines where pickers inspect the vegetables, as well as beside cutting and packing machinery.

Vynagrip was chosen as the existing chequer plate floor was uncomfortable for the workers who stand for long periods and it was slippery when wet.

Vynagrip's cushioning properties give added comfort underfoot, while its deeply etched surface make it slipresistant to DIN 51130 - R11. Opengrid construction allows liquid spills and production waste to fall through, further reducing the risk of spills.
