shipyard apprentices moved to
Babcock, Rosyth, recently when 10
apprentices took part in a highly
competitive practical welding contest.
The winner was Kristian Teirney, with Lewis Clelland runner-up.
Cheron Robinson, ESAB publicity manager presented Kristian with the latest welding helmet from ESAB, a yellow AristoTech welding screen; Lewis won an OrigoTech yellow welding screen. Kristian was also presented with a shield by Joe Doogan, MD of Babcock.
Both Kristian and Lewis will now represent Babcock Rosyth at the ShipWeld Final in October 2012.
