Security concerns
28 February 2014
Business Secretary, Vince Cable spoke recently about the threat to critical infrastructure posed by cyber-crime – and new research shows that this is an issue of primary importance to the public.
The independent research, part of the regular Attitudes to UK Industry study commissioned by industrial communication specialist CadenceFisher and in association with industrial security services, software and hardware company Rockwell Automation, showed two thirds of UK adults had an opinion on critical infrastructure security and that a high percentage of those (86%)* worry about the danger to life posed by unauthorised access to industrial systems.
Copies of the report are available from [email protected].
* 2077 UK adults were interviewed by Populus 25th-26th January 2014. Results have been weighted to be representative of all UK adults.
