EEF, the UK manufacturers’ organisation, has chosen TÜV SÜD Product Service as a preferred supplier for machinery and equipment safety technical support for members.

TÜV SÜD will support EEF members with their machinery safety compliance and legislative requirements by providing technical advice, as well as CE marking and training services. This will include the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), which requires machinery owners to carry out risk assessments to ensure that equipment can be used without putting end-users at risk.
Paul Laidler, business director for machinery safety at TÜV SÜD Product Service, said: "Manufacturers need to be sure that their equipment will guarantee high productivity and operator safety. We are looking forward to delivering this comprehensive and essential support service to ensure EEF members experience minimal downtime, high productivity and efficient resource usage.”
