Solvent tape
14 January 2015
Solvent tape has been added to Kite Packaging’s tape range, which currently includes hot melt, acrylic, low-noise and its own Envirotape - which has a smaller core so that 150m of tape can be held on one roll, reducing cardboard waste.

Kite says solvent tape offers a superior tack in both cold and ambient temperatures. This is useful when exporting products, as the changes from cold to warm will not affect the tape so products remain secure inside cartons. It is also used in the food industry as the strong adhesive is suitable for freezer storage.
Kite offers solvent tape in both polypropylene and PVC. Polypropylene requires a tape dispenser to cut pieces off, while PVC (also known as Vinyl) tears by hand, making it suitable for businesses that pack ‘on the go’.
