Comfort and grip
27 February 2015
Arco has launched its Household Grip Glove to help keep workers hands safe from harm in a range of food processing and cleaning environments.

The glove, which combines the benefits of a disposable glove with the strength and durability of household glove, includes patented grip technology. This takes the form of a diamond-shaped grip pattern on the outer shell of the glove that extends through to the inner shell, ensuring a secure grip. This technology works alongside a new ergonomic shape that helps to ensure that the glove fits more closely with the shape of the hand, reducing friction and increasing wearer comfort.
The Household Grip Glove is made from a material that uses a special nitrile recipe. This ensures that the glove is flexible and lightweight. It has been food approved, making it suitable for use in controlled environments such as food manufacture and preparation. Its latex-free properties also enable use in designated latex free sites.
In addition, the glove meets the EN 374 standard for ‘gloves giving protection from chemicals and micro-organisms’, enabling its use across a range of moderate cleaning tasks.
Paul Lyons, product and procurement manager for gloves at Arco, commented: "The new Household Grip Glove launched in Arco’s Big Book catalogue for 2015 complements our extensive gloves range and offers a step up from previous solutions available on the market. As the first safety distributor in the UK with our own in-house, independently accredited product assurance laboratory, Arco has also been able to test all gloves in the range, including the Household Grip Glove, to ensure they meet the robust quality and safety standards that our customers expect.”
