Software maintenance

05 March 2015

HBM is now offering customers a software maintenance contract, incorporating free updates, for its newly enhanced range of Catman data acquisition software packages.

Customers benefit from rapid upgrades with new functionality or to the latest operating systems, such as Windows 7, together with swift access to the latest bug fixes. In addition, customers receive an instant priority version of their software if, for example, any software error is rectified, which can occasionally occur prior to the subsequent version of the software becoming available for general release.

The new maintenance contract provides direct access to HBM's premium support facilities and offers customers rapid and accurate answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

Catman is HBM's powerful data acquisition software which can be used for configuring, visualizing and analysing measurement.  The software, which allows measurement results to be retrieved quickly and with minimum fuss, provides a wealth of mathematical and graphical functions for analysing and evaluating measurement data, which can then be exported into common standard formats, if required.

Recently developed by HBM to boost measurement efficiency and ensure that customers' needs are met, the Catman range now features a function library for electrical power within the software.  In addition, wheel force sensors can be integrated and Catman allows for data acquisition with synchronous recording of up to four camera signals.

Users can also easily export visualisations of processed measurement data to MS Word or MS Excel automatically to create reports and achieve a better interpretation of test results.  Other new features to the range include new storage and export formats for other commonly used software packages for post processing and auto sequences to automate processes, for example, performing automated assessments of tests with script.

The maintenance contracts from HBM last up to five years and include updates at no extra cost within the covered period.  In addition, customers are informed of any additional updates to software that may affect the maintenance contract.
