Hart Door Systems’ latest contract for the Energy from Waste sector involves installation of seven purpose-designed electric roller shutters for tipping bays at a large Energy from Waste site in Worcestershire.

The Hart shutters, designed for safety, as well as preventing the escape of odours, measure 3.8m wide and from 10 to 11m high, each weighing about 1000kg.
They are designed for a 10 year life, comprise a mixture of specialist powder coatings, hot dipped galvanised and stainless steel materials, have a Class 3 corrosion class finish and special IP65i high-speed motors with insulated motor boxes as well as heaters that are thermostatically controlled to prevent moisture build up.
Likewise the IP66 GRP control panels are designed to prevent moisture with the incorporation of heaters and thermostats. Shutter opening speeds are within the client’s 60 second requirement.
