New chief strategy and corporate development officer for EEF

EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation has appointed a new director to head its modernisation programme. Mark Bernard, a former group marketing director of BM Polyco, joins the business group in May and will lead the organisation’s long-term growth programme and membership development activity.
Mark Bernard will co-ordinate EEF’s strategic marketing activity and oversee the introduction of new technologies to support services and member engagement. He played a leading role in transforming BM Polyco’s business model and has also held senior commercial marketing roles with Polaroid, Casio, LG and Stanley Black & Decker.
Terry Scuoler, chief executive of EEF, said: “Mark brings considerable experience of business transformation and his strategic marketing pedigree will support our modernisation programme and digital investments to better support member companies and grow and strengthen our business services.”
Mark Bernard said: “I’m thrilled to be joining EEF as it invests in an exciting transformation programme. Manufacturing is key to Britain’s success and EEF’s members will continue to benefit from the strength of its services and representational work.”
