Hart Door Systems has teamed up with Sir Robert McAlpine to deliver a range of doors as part of a £4 million new build warehouse and distribution centre. The new facility is for a Yorkshire-based independent tea and coffee company.

The range of doors being manufactured include nine fire resistant roller shutters, five Speedor Supers and two roller shutters.

Gordon Kipling, northern sales manager at Hart, comments: “Our doors are particularly suited to this sector, helping to control temperature, reduce the spread of odour and, where necessary, keep out pests and intruders. We do this whilst ensuring efficient operations through the fast-action automatic door systems.

“Having successfully worked with Sir Robert McAlpine on a number of large scale projects, we were delighted to be chosen again to manufacture and install the doors on this project.”

Hart provides a range of vertical rolling doors and shutters designed to improve efficiency within manufacturing, process and packaging sectors. These include the Speedor range of high speed doors, Firebrand and Terror Screen to protect businesses from risks, and roller shutters in steel or aluminium with optional insulation. All doors are custom sized with a range of specifications, mode of operation and finish options, including ATEX compliant installations for environments with risk of explosion.

Of particular importance to the food and drink sector, the Speedor range includes a Cleanroom specific option, with wash down guides, stainless steel, variable air leakage requirements, and non-touch safety light curtain.

Hart says its doors have a life expectancy of 20 years and 500,000 operations in normal conditions.
