Accu appoints Dan Jack as CEO to lead next phase of global growth
21 May 2026
ACCU HAS appointed Dan Jack as CEO. Co-founder and outgoing CEO Martin Ackroyd moves into a newly created chief digital officer role, remaining on the Board of Directors to drive the company's digital and technology vision.
Jack joins from Trifast, a global designer, manufacturer and supplier of fastenings and components, where he served as CCO. With nearly 25 years’ experience in the components industry, he has extensive expertise in international supply chain development and providing strategic leadership across global markets. This includes extensive experience scaling businesses through international growth phases.
In his new role, he will oversee Accu's operational, commercial and financial performance, reporting to the board. He will focus on accelerating the company's global expansion, with plans underway to grow Accu's presence in the US, mainland Europe and Australasia. A key priority will be building partnerships with component manufacturers worldwide to further extend Accu's already extensive catalogue of over 500,000 components, backed by rapid delivery.
"It is a privilege to join Accu, which I believe is the most progressive engineering component e-commerce platform in the world. The company set out to make finding and buying engineering components easy and has worked tirelessly over the past 15 years to achieve exactly that. I look forward to helping Accu stand even taller, accelerating its growth in stature, reputation and global market presence," said Jack.
Ackroyd described the company's past 15 years as "phenomenal". "We've grown from a two-person start-up to a multinational group serving hundreds of thousands of engineers, designers and innovators worldwide. I'm delighted to hand over the reins to Dan, one of the most respected operators in our industry. His experience leading global businesses through exactly this kind of international scale-up will make this the most exciting chapter Accu has ever seen," he stated.
"Our commitment to customers remains absolute. Our e-commerce platform will continue to evolve, faster service, a smarter solution, but our promise to customers stays the same: keep building amazing things and we'll be here to support you."
In his new role, Ackroyd will focus on pioneering platforms that transform the way engineers source components, leveraging the latest technology and AI to deliver new tools and greater integration into customer workflows.
