This, alongside its injection moulding capabilities, demonstrates that Hillbrush is a thriving British manufacturer.

Trade moulding expertise

Hillbrush has made significant investment in its trade moulding operation in recent years with the introduction of two large 1,000 tonne injection moulding machines to its existing range. In total Hillbrush has 10 injection moulding machines ranging from 90 to 1,000 tonnes locking force which can accommodate moulded products from just a few grams up to 4.4 kilograms.

Each machine has its own gravimetric doser which can add in colour and/or additives such as antimicrobial, flame retardants and metal detectable masterbatches at a consistent rate.

Hillbrush's large 1,000 tonne machines are fitted with pick and place robots and conveyors, and all of its machines are connected to an automated material feed system. Hillbrush has stand-alone material dryers for hygroscopic types, for drying plastic materials such as Nylon, Polycarbonate and A.B.S. Each machine has a tool temperature control unit for moulding engineering materials.

In addition, Hillbrush has recently unveiled a new warehouse at its manufacturing site in Wiltshire to support its increased manufacturing resource and capability.

For customers who may be experiencing quality or supply issues, mould tooling can be easily transferred to Hillbrush where the company works closely with customers to ensure a smooth transition from transfer to production.

In addition, thanks to Hillbrush’s warehouse investment, it can offer stockholding for regular product requirements. Simply place an annual order and Hillbrush will provide you with your products on a regular basis to ensure you receive goods on time and in full.
