GRP ladder platform for tank showers
24 May 2019
A new GRP ladder platform for emergency tank showers has been introduced by Hughes Safety Showers to enable easy and safe access to the tank.

With emergency tank showers more than 3m high, inspecting the water tanks is a tall order and raises issues concerning the safety of employees working at height. Organising checks or maintenance requires hiring scaffolding which can be costly and time-consuming if an urgent inspection is necessary.
Hughes' platforms can be attached to all new tank shower orders or retrofitted to existing Hughes tank showers, with the option to mount at the left, right or rear of the shower, depending on requirements.
At 1215mm high, the railing on the platform exceeds the HSE recommended 950mm for working platforms, as well as the 1100mm stipulated in Building Regulations for guard rails.

- A permanent structure for working at height
