Hughes Safety Showers has saved
thousands of pounds for a petrochemical
company in the Middle
East that required 70+ emergency
safety showers and eyewash units for
use in hazardous areas.
Hughes tank showers with integral chiller units provide sufficient water to deliver water for the 15min minimum stipulated in the American National ANSI Z 358.1 2009 standard. However, supplying Zone 1 compliant chillers adds to the cost, so Hughes developed a ring main system feeding showers and eyewash units from a central chiller plant outside the hazardous area.
This cuts the cost of an installation with many showers.
