Compliance and risk management expert expands leadership team

ISOQAR is one of the UK’s leading UKAS accredited certification bodies, offering certification and training to all major standards. As a chartered civil engineer with over 15 years’ experience in a variety of senior leadership roles across the construction and services sectors, Helen has a wealth of knowledge leading business units and specialised teams. She previously led the mobilisation and demobilisation of major outsourcing contracts for Carillion.

She says: “While ISOQAR is already one of the fastest growing certification bodies in the UK it is clear to see that the business has huge potential to grow and expand its product range further. I am excited to be working with such an experienced and focussed team and look forward to supporting clients through their certification journey.”

Val will be responsible for Alcumus’ people agenda, to support the business growth, drive employee engagement and ensure the company is a great place to work. A fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development, Val brings over 30 years’ human resources expertise and experience to the team.

Val joined Alcumus from Marks & Spencer, where she held numerous senior HR positions and leadership roles within business partnering and regional and divisional management. Her most recent role was the global head of employee relations, employee wellbeing and performance. She says: “This is an incredibly exciting time to join Alcumus, particularly as the structure of the business becomes more integrated. At Alcumus, people are at the heart of the business and as its chief people officer, I am excited for the future and eager to start making a difference.”
