MACH 2028 passes halfway mark as general sales open - exhibitors urged to act now
14 September 2026
More than 13,000 sqm already secured as unprecedented market interest puts remaining floorplan locations in high demand

GENERAL SALE for MACH 2028 is now open, with more than half of the exhibition floorplan already sold following a surge in requests for space.
More than 13,000 sqm of stand space has been snapped up nearly two years before the UK’s premier manufacturing technology showcase returns to the NEC Birmingham from 3-7 April 2028. Companies are being urged to book immediately to ensure the greatest range of stand locations and a stand tailored to suit your needs.
Building on a successful 2026 edition
The rush follows the immense success of MACH 2026, which attracted 26,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors. Staged across five halls, the exhibition brought the manufacturing and engineering community together to experience new machinery, advanced technologies, live demonstrations and product launches under one roof. Official post-show figures confirm that exhibitors reported overwhelmingly positive results, including record enquiries and sales.
"The response to MACH 2028 is a powerful demonstration of the strength, ambition and resilience of UK manufacturing. MACH 2026 brought 26,000 people together and generated tremendous momentum across the industry. Exhibitors clearly recognise the commercial value of being at the heart of that audience," said Manufacturing Technologies Association CEO James Selka. "MACH is the definitive national showcase for manufacturing technology the place where the engineering community connects and invests. With more than half the floorplan already committed, businesses considering exhibiting must act now or risk missing the location they need."
'Exceptional' rebooking numbers
Demand was so strong that the MTA brought forward its stand-space ballots by two months, enabling returning exhibitors to secure space sooner. The remaining floorplan has now been released to the wider market.
"The scale and speed of rebookings have been exceptional. We moved the ballot dates forward because demand could not wait and more than 13,000 sqm have already gone," stated James Fudge, head of operations at the MTA. "General sale is now open, but the message is simple, do not delay. Book before September to secure the Early Bird Discount and give your business the strongest possible choice of location."
