Maintec to return in 2021
27 July 2020
Maintec, the longest standing UK exhibition for industrial, buildings & supply chain maintenance engineering, returns to the NEC, Birmingham, 27th-29th April 2021, bigger and better than ever before
Throughout its 40+ year history, Maintec has remained at the heart of the maintenance, reliability and asset management community and provides an excellent forum for networking and finding out about new technologies. This year’s event features an enhanced CPD certified educational programme with a variety of different session formats including; keynote presentations, in-depth case study reviews of active maintenance projects, technical sessions and panel discussions. It also plays host to the UK’s leading engineering suppliers and manufacturers attracting the most diverse cross sector engineering visitor audience coming to source the latest products on the market.
New for 2021, the event adds an extra day to make it a 3 day show and expands its focus uniting the entire supply chain of major consumers from industrial maintenance, buildings maintenance and transport and supply chain maintenance all under one roof. This will bring a larger visitor base and more opportunities to network and do business. Visitors attend from across multiple industries including; energy, automotive, construction, manufacturing, hazardous environments, aerospace, utilities, oil & gas, food & drink, retail, public sector, rail and ports & marine. Maintec will also collocate alongside 5 other shows in the Nineteen Group portfolio: The Health & Safety Event, The Facilities Event, The Security Event, The Fire Safety Event and The Emergency Services Show. Maintenance of equipment and related systems is essential to these industries and the colocation of these events is a great development for 2021. Visitors can move freely between events using one pass.
Free-to-attend educational programme
The Maintec seminar programme provides professional education to support maintenance managers, reliability engineers and the engineering teams who attend from across the UK. Sessions will be delivered by leading figures ranging from associations and key manufacturers to experienced end users providing unique insights and best practices alongside live interactive demos of the latest products and solutions for maintenance repair and overhaul in a new dedicated Product Innovation Area.
Advice will be given on key issues facing the industry including the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic (with particular focus on essential industries and servicing issues and solutions), new technology, maintenance 4.0, and the move towards digitalisation and how this will impact the maintenance market moving forwards.
Suppliers & manufacturers
For years Maintec has attracted suppliers from the cream of the UK’s maintenance industry, many of them long-time exhibitors and stalwart supporters of this unique event. The 2021 show will continue to display the latest in maintenance technology, asset management and plant equipment through to manufacturers and suppliers who have confirmed they will be returning to the show including; RMS, SolutionsPT, SPM, Megger, Eleco Shire Systems, Radwell, Pruftechnik and UE Systems. The show also attracts global businesses including Petro-Canada Lubricants, Toyota Material Handling UK and Valuekeep Lda who are just some of the organisations who will also be exhibiting.
Exhibitors bring their very latest products, equipment and software to the event allowing visitors to see and experience cutting-edge technology live and exclusively on the show floor, many also use the event as a platform to launch their new technologies and services for the first time.
Jos Diamond, Maintec Event Director comments: “It is our principle aim to ensure Maintec continues to serve the needs of the UK’s maintenance and reliability engineers. This year we have made sizable changes to the event and its seminar programme to make sure it delivers value for both the visitors and exhibitors who attend.
“Our exhibitors bring a whole wealth of knowledge and expertise to the showfloor and have a passion for providing solutions to problems. The powerful combination of professional content and leading suppliers makes Maintec a must-attend event for anyone who has responsibility for maintenance and reliability for their organisation.”
