New range of power transmission products
23 May 2019
Mecaline from Brammer Buck & Hickman is a new range of power transmission products that includes electric motors, gearboxes, chain drives, belts and couplings.

The range has been designed in collaboration with world-leading manufacturers in their respective fields, to very strict specifications.
Mecaline motors are available as three phase asynchronous motors in both aluminium and cast-iron bodies, up to 30kW. Designed for the most common types of applications, they feature IE3 premium efficiency for lower energy consumption and excellent heat dissipation which reduces the temperature on windings and bearings for longevity and reduced total cost of ownership. They come with a two year warranty as standard.
Mecaline Helical and Helical-Bevel gearboxes come in units from 50 to 4600Nm. Featuring quality construction, they are modular built in-house by Brammer Buck & Hickman at the company’s Engineering Centres across the UK, for fast supply times; a one-hour construction in many cases. They come with a full range of accessories.
Extensive metalwear is featured in the Mecaline range including V pulleys, timing pulleys, sprockets and taper lock bushes.
There are 26 different chain types in the Mecaline range, including BS and ASA chains and ST/ST and brickwork chains. Some 8200 feet of BS chain and 4000 feet of ASA chain are maintained in stock by Brammer Buck & Hickman in Simplex, Duplex & Triplex, along with spare parts.
Over 800 size types of V and wedge belts – wrapped and cogged – are stocked, along with a full range of couplings.
“The Mecaline portfolio of products will allow our business to focus on growing our core industry sectors,” says Brian Preston, head of category PTMC for Brammer Buck & Hickman. “In this range we have a product suitable for most applications. This has been a very exciting time for our business and the initial feedback from customers has been very positive. We now have a true differentiator in the market place: a quality product to be proud of and a range that we believe is one of the biggest in our industry sector.”
Brammer Buck & Hickman is part of the Rubix group.
