By introducing this right-angled industrial gear unit series for cooling technology fan applications, Sumitomo is responding to changing demands on the design of air-cooled condensers. The Hansen M5CT is a customer and future-oriented development based on the experience of proven Hansen product lines.

The new gearbox is used in wet cooling towers and in air-cooled condensers and more than 20,000 installations have been completed. Gearbox specialists from Hansen Industrial Transmissions NV and Sumitomo Drive Technologies are market leaders in this segment.

The Hansen M5CT is packed into a rigid housing design and comes with one of the highest torque densities to withstand peak loads from heavy-duty applications. Special sealing systems 'Oil Seal Hood' and 'Oil Lock' reduce maintenance work. The self-developed lubrication system is available without pump or external piping and does not require additional monitoring. Additional accessories and instruments are available.
