Reinforcing its position at the forefront of high performance inspection equipment for the global food and pharmaceutical industries, Loma Systems has appointed Paul Johnson as UK sales and strategic accounts director.

Johnson, who will head up Loma’s sales team in the UK, brings some 20 years’ sales management experience to the Farnborough-based business.  He has proven leadership capabilities and in-depth experience of working with major companies on a national and international level in the provision of equipment for the processing and packing industries.

Prior to joining Loma, Johnson spent 12 years at Domino, a global supplier of printing and coding solutions to the food and pharmaceutical industries, progressing to national sales manager. Earlier roles include UK sales manager at CSi UK and regional sales manager (EMEA) at Cerulean.

Commenting about his new role, Johnson says: "I am very excited to join Loma Systems in its 50th anniversary year. By building on its long heritage, the company has become a leading global supplier of Check & Detect inspection technologies and is at the forefront of the latest innovations to improve food safety and quality.

A major part of my role will be to develop Loma's relationship with our key customers and industry partners as well as forging new business growth. In addition, I will be working closely with leading retailers to ensure our equipment meets the latest industry challenges.
