A-Safe has helped cut costs at
DHL's warehouse in
Livingston with the
installation of a new-style
racking protector system.
As a major distribution site for Iceland frozen foods, the 300,000ft2 warehouse is equipped throughout with extensive racking which needs protection from forklift trucks and other vehicles.
DHL had previously used conventional metal racking systems, but had found them to be costly, especially in terms of repairs following accidents.
The company took the decision to trial A-Safe's 200OD with 90x90 single rail rack end barrier. This proved so successful in cutting damage bills that DHL has now embarked on a longterm programme to install the system throughout the warehouse.
