Specialist in the development of minimal quantity lubrications (MQL) systems, Bielomatik, has launched a new external mixing nozzle for its two-channel system capable of providing an increase in the precise amount of oil introduced into the system air stream and subsequently delivered to the cutting tip at rates up to 400-500mL/hour, dependant on oil viscosity.

With the new external arrangement oil is delivered to the mixing nozzle from an in-line high speed valve, exactly as internal systems.

Also, the oil is pressurised to 15 bar and injected into the air stream, ensuring that all air flow carries oil to the cutting tip.

The technology will allow more machining applications to benefit from MQL technology - nozzle fed coolant, rough milling, tapping, shearing, punches, and so on.
