To drive productivity costs down and
achieve greater efficiencies while at
the same time maintaining
manufacturing quality, a major aero
frame manufacturing site has
upgraded to the Bielomatik MQL
(Minimal Quantity Lubrication)
system. This has enabled more
efficient automated manufacture of
wing panels, with components
passing through various drilling,
counter sinking and riveting
operations without any residue tool
cutting lubricant remaining.
The Bielomatik 2-CH MQL system enables oil deliveries as low as 3-5mL/hour. The system design uses a pressurised, small bore ring main that delivers oil from a reservoir simultaneously but separately with a controlled air supply to a special Bielomatik rotary transmission unit.
