A fleet of Mitsubishi trucks has boosted productivity for CPI Bookmarque, printer of paperback titles. At its manufacturing facility in Croydon, downtime used to occur daily among its eight forklifts.

Bookmarque turned to Bronze Mechanical Handling, a Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks dealer, for a costeffective solution. Sales director Chris Slater recommended five Mitsubishi counterbalance trucks.

A GRENDIA ES 3.0t gas counterbalance (FG30N) with a Cascade rotator roll clamp handles the 1000t of raw materials that are processed each month. Heavy-duty and with high-visibility mast, this model enables drivers to confidently manoeuvre loads of any size.

The lorry loading area has two smaller 1.5t GRENDIA ES models (FG15N) that feature high efficiency, low emissions, comfort features and low noise levels. In the 'works in progress' section, two 1.6t capacity three-wheel electric trucks (FB16NT) afford a low maintenance solution.

Fitting an LPG bulk storage tank and buying spare batteries with opportunity charging has reduced the company's outlay
