Green award

Adding to the Environmental Technology Award it won in 2007, Savex ESL of Sidcup has now won the Green Award at the Energy Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Energy Show.

The award is for the company's 'Cover Plate' which upgrades fluorescent lights in industrial and commercial premises, enabling savings of 45% to 55% on lighting bills.

Eric Osborne of Savex ESL said he was very proud of this latest achievement and the judges citation which said: 'a brilliantly simple idea - retrofit means you don't need to replace all lighting - making significant energy savings for all organisations - very wide scope of applications due to extensive use of fluorescent tubes'.
