The Vibralert mechanical switch offers vibration protection for low to medium speed machinery. The Metrix 5500 is said to meet all requirements for mechanical switches in a single, affordable weatherproof package.

While the device is a simple mechanical switch, it can be supplied with local and remote reset options with an adjustable start-up delay to ensure that there are no false alarms.

It has been tested successfully in tough applications - fin fans, heat exchanger and cooling tower fans, reciprocating compressors and engines.
